Mauricio Pochettino has been a breath of fresh air for not only Tottenham but the Premier League too. The former Espanyol and Southampton manager has made Spurs a force to be reckoned with, at least in England, and this season there is a real belief that we could win a trophy or two.
The Argentine recently stated that he would be willing to stay at the club for 10-15 years and that he was not looking forward to leaving Spurs for bigger clubs like Barcelona.
As quoted by ESPN FC, the Argentine stated:
“I’m so happy. I enjoy my time at Tottenham, it’s a club with big potential, new stadium and facilities which will be best in Europe.
“And at the same time, to be a competitive team and win a trophy. But I am happy to hear Daniel is being so kind to me, telling everyone what to expect.
“I hope I stay 10-15 years at Tottenham. If he [Levy] wants I would love to sign that contract.”
This will come as great news for all Tottenham fans who were worried that Pochettino’s performances might see him leave the club but things do look good for us at the moment.
Although you can never guarantee anything in football, Spurs fans did take Twitter to share their view on the news and here are some of the best tweets.
And he should be given it ,there is no one better ,the other top 5 are cheque book managers ,I could manage city if you let me spend 300m PA

@NathanAClark That'd be something. I have a great respect for his improvements in results, but also in player development.
