Tottenham Interested In Signing Gareth Bale – Real Madrid Looking To Offload The Welshman

Tottenham have been in the news for a transfer related to Real Madrid and most of it has been about Harry Kane leaving us to join the Spanish side. However, the Don Balon now claims that we could be looking to sign one of our old boys from the La Liga side as Gareth Bale looks to regain his form after a bit of a slump in Madrid.

Don Balon states that the La Liga giants are ready to offload the Welsh Wizard due to his injury record and could be selling him as soon as next summer. Bale, who at one stage was in better form than Cristiano Ronaldo, is out yet again with an injury and this is the eighth injury he has picked up since 2013.

Although the former Spurs man is only 28 at the moment, Zinedine Zidane might be willing to cash in when they still have a chance. Bale also missed a huge chunk of last season due to injury, yet Real did it all by winning the league and the UEFA Champions League.

There is still a lot of competition for Bale as the report claims that Manchester United and Chelsea are keeping track of the Welshman’s situation.

What could work in our favour is the fact that we have a great attack at the moment and he would be returning to the club that made him a superstar.

Bale does have some unfinished business at the club and maybe, he would be the missing link as we go about looking to win a trophy or two. Of course, this rumour does add fuel to the fire that there could be a swap on the cards with Kane moving the other way. However, it is very much unlikely that the England international will be leaving the club for Los Blancos.

Bale hasn’t lost a lot of pace since leaving us and if we can sign him up without losing Kane or any of our other stars, it would be an amazing deal.

However, the Welshman might want to stay in Madrid as he has often been called as the future of the club once Ronaldo leaves. Only time will tell what happens next regarding Bale’s future.

  1. And his wages? Loss of other revenues streams of his which he’d lose with a step down to us? I could see him ending up as the next Torres.
