Tottenham Linked With €50m Summer Target Attacker Once Again – Rumours Just Won’t Die

published :

Tottenham Hotspur are back in the news in their hunt for a new winger. This time, it is former Liverpool reject Suso who has been linked with a move to North London, once again.

According to the reports coming from Italian media outlet Calciomercato, Spurs are interested in bringing Suso back to England.

The report states that the attacker is struggling to adapt to the new tactics of the San Siro club, who invested very heavily in the summer. Despite being such heavy spenders, AC Milan stay some way off the pace in the Serie A as questions remain about their effectiveness.

That puts his future at the club under question mark as he continuously remains linked to the North London outfit. At least, AC Milan are receptive to offers for their attacker and the player too may not be reluctant to move.

However, it remains to be seen if the Italian giants accept a transfer bid below Suso’s reported release clause of €40/€50m.

This is not the first time that we are seeing Suso get linked with Spurs. There were reports all through the summer that manager Mauricio Pochettino will go for his signature.

A reported bid in the region £20m was lodged by Spurs in the summer but it didn’t convince the Milan side to enter into negotiations. Will Spurs now double this bid and lodge a new approach to bring Suso to North London?

It looks highly unlikely but Suso’s current form and suitability warrant an improved offer. The 23-year-old Spaniard has rejuvenated his career with Milan and is not the same flop that he was at Anfield. Suso can play as a central striker although he is more suited to play as a winger or as a second striker. Pochettino already has Son Heung-Min, who offers similar skillset, which may mean that Poch may not increase his offer for Suso.

Interesting times ahead for the Spanish striker but unless Milan reduce their demand, it looks highly unlikely that he would join us.
