One of the best feelings as a fan of Tottenham is to see one of our own boys do well on the European stage. The latest to join the bandwagon is Harry Winks. The England international midfielder has already shown his potential this season with consistent performances in the Premier League.
And, yesterday, he repeated his heroics against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League with a man-of-the-match performance.
It was supposed to be one of the toughest groups in this year’s Champions League, but Tottenham have silenced all the critics by topping the group. The likes of Real Madrid and Dortmund have become bystanders to Tottenham’s charge.
Spurs’ 2-1 win at Dortmund on Tuesday was achieved by goals from Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane but it was Winks who controlled the action from the midfield and stole the show, even more than Son who troubled the Dortmund defence throughout.
