Erik Lamela hasn’t played for us for almost a year, with a number of weird injuries. The Argentine mysteriously missed out on a large chunk of last season and has done the same this time around. Even though the attacker is a player that splits our fan-base down the middle, there is no doubt that on his day, he can make the life of even the best defenders hell on the pitch.
While the player has not even featured for the first-team in any shape or form this season, there are many who believe he could be back into the side as we face West Bromwich Albion.
That would be great news for us, given that we would be facing a lot of sides in the upcoming weeks until the new year and that did not stop the fans from sharing their view on the player returning to the team.
Lamela has become a better player since he hasn’t been playing, unsurprisingly. It’s been the longest settling-in period in history. If he was from our academy, I’d understand the perseverance; but for the best part of £30m and 5 years later. He has been a disaster.

I don’t understand Spurs fans slagging off Lamela. His creativity and skill is exactly what we need especially when trying to break down teams. He was one of our best players last year prior to his injury. Absolutely buzzing for him to come back #COYS

Good chance that Erik Lamela makes the bench tomorrow vs WBA.
Though I fear I’ll be saying that for a while to come. #THFC #COYS

The scenes tomorrow when Lamela comes off the bench to score a 90th minute winner.

I can see Lamela getting the biggest cheer tomorrow if he is on the bench I liked him before his injury but dont see where he fits in now.

I don’t know why people don’t see Lamela’s qualities. I believe in him and if Poch also does, it must mean something. He’s got that cutting edge we lack in some games!

Apparently Long Lost Lamela may return tomorrow against West Brom.

Can’t wait for him to come back. We have forgotten how good he was before injury.

He’s a brilliant player, we forget because we haven’t seen him for so long.
