Tottenham Hotspur’s recent poor form saw the club slide down the table. We currently occupy 7th place in the table. That is quite disappointing for the fans since we were challenging for the top-three spots not so long ago.
There is so much football yet to played this season and to borrow a famous football phrase – ‘Premier League title is won in March and not in November’. So, Mauricio Pochettino’s men still have time and games in their hand to make up for the deficit and mount a title charge.
However, I feel the club needs to take one step at a time and it is important to get back to winning ways before we can even think of getting back into the title mix. First up on the agenda should be the trip to Watford. The Hornets have been one of the form teams this season, surprising everyone with their results as can be seen from their 8th spot in the table – just three points behind us.
The mood in the training ground is one of utmost concentration ahead of this important fixture as Pochettino made his squad run the hard yards to get prepared for the weekend clash. Fans took to Twitter to express their views – ranging from desperation to enthusiasm – and cheering the boys to do well on their trip. I hope the team picks up the positive vibes from the fans’ hopes.
One player who is a hit among the fans is Argentine midfielder Erik Lamela. The playmaker returned in the midweek clash at Leicester City and immediately made an impact by providing an assist for Harry Kane.
Ahead of this crucial match, fans were heard on Twitter, asking Poch to start the midfielder. We picked up a mix of all the fans’ reactions. Read on!
We need to pick up points ASAP

Our biggest problem with scoring is that Eriksen do not score freekicks anymore. Our midfielders very poor shooting from distance. We must try to score from out of the box when teams play defensive. Only Kane & Son can score from distance. See what city’s doing to defensive teams

Rose, Son, and Lamela all deserve a start.

Give Dele and Eriksen two matches off. Watford and APOEL. Play Lamela and Son!
