Tottenham Ready To Use The Clause In Striker’s Contract To Bring Him Back To White Hart Lane

Tottenham could be looking to recall Vincent Janssen as they look to provide some sort of goal scoring cover for Harry Kane. The Englishman has been on fire for us this season but we do need someone who can do a job when we rotate the squad and rest Kane.

Janssen is currently on loan at Turkish club Fenerbahce and the report from Turkish paper Fanatik claims that we will look to bring back the Dutch striker in the January transfer window. The reason for his return could be the fact that Fernando Llorente has been struggling in front of goal and Janssen has done alright in the Turkish league.

The striker has 3 goals and 4 assists to his name this season and even though he is on a drought which stretches to 8 games, the Dutchman’s contract for the loan does include a clause which allows us to bring him back in January.

The report also suggests that we could be looking to sell the 23-year-old to Napoli despite paying £17million for him in 2016. Janssen did struggle to score goals as he only could find the back of the net 6 times for us and it was not a surprise to see him move out on loan as Kane did the damage in front of goal.

Is Janssen Worthy Of A Second Chance?

Janssen might not be breaking scoring records in Turkey but he might just be a better option to have than Llorente, ahead of a gruelling round of fixtures. The Spaniard, who joined us from Swansea at the start of the season, could still be used as a battering ram for a few games but Janssen is a bit better when it comes to movement, in and around the box.

The Dutch striker could be the answer as we look to give Kane a rest and with him having half a season under his belt, he could just be the right man who could get the goals for us and take us into the top four.

Janssen would also have a point to prove to Spurs fans and that should be enough of a reason to bring him back to London.
