Tottenham’s hierarchy certainly knows how to keep their fans excited almost every time and the fact that they keep them updated about every single update of their new stadium is a lively example. From releasing some really good footages to mouthwatering images, Spurs have done really well in keeping their fans updated about every single thing related to the construction of the new stadium.
In what can be described as a touch of class, our club have decided to move their legendary manager, Bill Nicholson’s ashes under the White Hart Lane pitch. Also, the club’s hierarchy decided to re-inter Bill’s and his wife Darkie’s caskets under the place where the new pitch would be formed.
This week, there is more encouraging news regarding the progress made on the new Spurs stadium. There is a sheer amount of development made over the past seven days. Spurs-web.com released a video that included updates about the stadium. But one striking feature involved an impressive update to the huge south stadium.
The report says that concrete blocks continue to be installed at a quick pace, making up parts of the South Stand. One can see that the framework has continued to get bigger on the new South Stand. The builders are working around the stadium, at the back of Percy House and to the right of Lilywhite House. Progress continues to be made on the underground car park and hotel footings.
Panels have been installed on the East Stand, while work continues on the new Tottenham shop alongside the painting of Warmington house. Also, both the east and the west sides have been covered with the panels and that means almost half of the stadium is now covered.
With the 60,000 spectators stadium taking shape, mayor Sadiq Khan paid a visit before labelling it a “world-class sports arena“.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has reassured the supporters that the club will move into their new stadium on time and with all their star players.
“Unless there are unforeseen circumstances, I am very confident and I wouldn’t be sitting here otherwise, saying that the season we are about to enter in August, we will be playing our games here from the start of next season,” Levy was quoted by Evening Standard.
