Kane’s 150th club career goal and other impressive stats from Tottenham’s 1-0 win vs Crystal Palace

Tottenham kept up the pressure on the teams above them as they chased a top-four finish, thanks to a late, late win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. The winning goal came in the 89th minute as Harry Kane nodded in a corner and even though we won only by a single goal, we should have wrapped up the game earlier due to a plethora of chances that fell to our players.

The win lifted us into 4th spot, thanks to Chelsea’s 2-1 loss at Manchester United but we should be happy with the way we played even though we didn’t get the rewards early on.

It felt like it was another game where the opposition would somehow hold on for a draw but our talisman stood tall and got us the three crucial points.

There were a number of great saves from Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey but Serge Aurier has to feel a little relieved after he somehow managed to miss from a couple of yards out with the goal gaping wide open.

Unfortunately, there was another Dele Alli dive in the second half and this time, he avoided getting booked. But this might and probably will haunt us in the future as the youngster is trying hard to create contact rather than try and make a difference on the pitch.

Fortunately, we kept our unbeaten run going and with the form that we are in, we should make it into the top four.

There were a number of key stats that came out from the game and here are some of the most impressive ones.

1 – Tottenham have only conceded one goal against Palace in the last six games, winning all of the fixtures

5 – Dele Alli was involved in more tackles than any other spurs player

10 – Palace have lost every single game without Wilfried Zaha since September 2016

12 – Palace have 12 senior players out due to injury ahead of the rest of the campaign

14 – Harry Kane’s goals have won more points (14) for a club that any other player

15 – Spurs are now unbeaten in 15 games in all competitions

23 – Kane has now scored 23 times in 34 Premier League London games, equaling Didier Drogba’s record in 30 fewer games

45 – Christian Eriksen has now assisted 45 times and is joint second with Aaron Lennon, only Darren Anderton (67) has more

150 – Kane scored the 150th goal of his club career, with 134 of them coming as a Spurs player
