Gareth Bale’s return to the Premier League could happen soon according to reports coming from Spain. The Welsh wizard has had a poor time this season due to injuries and is now being offered to three Premier League clubs by Real Madrid.
The 28-year-old attacker has only played 25 games all season if we exclude the FIFA Club World Cup where he made two substitute appearances.
The Express carries a report from Diario Gol which claims that Tottenham is one of the clubs that Bale is being offered to.
The Welshman had moved to Real from Spurs a number of years ago and it would be kind of a homecoming for the former Southampton man. Bale has reportedly spoken with Florentino Perez and the president of the club has agreed to let the Welshman move back to the Premier League. However, there is a catch.
Real want to recoup a lot of their money from Bale’s sale and want €120million for the 28-year-old, which might be a price too steep for us.
Manchester United and Chelsea are the other two clubs that are being offered Bale but it seems likely that the attacker will only move to a club which is willing to meet Real’s asking price.
Bale Needs To Return To England But Which Club Should Sign Him Up?
Getting Bale back to Tottenham would certainly be a great move given that we would be moving to a new stadium.
Bale would certainly add to our current side and hopefully, he can get over his injury concerns. The 28-year-old might be better off working on his fitness and scratch this season off while targeting a return to the Premier League next season in the best of shapes.
Chelsea and United do have deeper pockets than us and could do with some attacking outlets themselves, as the pair has struggled to score goals this season. However, we do have a history with Bale and if Real can look beyond the crazy transfer fee that they want, we just might be able to conclude a deal with the 28-year-old and make it an incredible return.
