According to talkSPORT, England’s new World Cup jersey is finally on sale to the general public and it has caused a fury amongst the parents due to the kit’s cost. Sponsored by Nike, the Three Lions will be seen donning all-white in the World Cup in Russia and the kit has been made accessible on the official England store website.
However, the prices of the kit have caused an outrage with the match shirt costing £64.95 for a child, as reported by talkSPORT. Two kits are available on England’s store, ‘Breathe’ and Vapor’.
The talkSPORT claim that the total cost for a kid’s replica kit including shorts for another £20 comes at £85.74, while the adult match jersey costs £89.95 with shorts costing a further £54.99!
Spurs star Harry Kane modelled the new England kit. He tweeted a picture of himself wearing the all-white England strip with the caption: Love it when a new kit comes out. New @nikefootball @england kit looks decent. #ThreeLions #RiseOfTheFearless
The new Three Lions kits are simple and well-designed but very expensive. After the prices were revealed, it caused an annoyance amongst the general public. The England fans have made their feelings visible on social media sites. Here we bring you some of the best tweets.
@BBCNaga @BBCBreakfast prices for England kit sky rocketed when Nike got the contract to produce them. Worse designs ever. Basically £55/£65 for a t-shirt with a England badge. The FA have shown total disregard for the fans by allowing Nike in and with no price limit
