Bayern Munich target Harry Kane to replace Robert Lewandowski – reports
Harry Kane is a summer target for Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, according to reports coming in from Spain. Marca claims that the 24-year-old is being seen as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who is expected to join Real Madrid after breaking numerous records in Munich.
Both players have been in the news for a number of weeks and that seems to continue with The Sun claiming that the Spanish giants now want to sign the Polish international.
Meanwhile, the Spurs striker has been in great form and has scored 35 goals for us in all competitions and is contracted with us till 2022. That could be a big plus for us as we would have the negotiating power should any club come calling for Kane.
And that will be of utmost importance because unfortunately, Tottenham don’t have another option that can fill the shoes of the Englishman.
Tottenham have to keep hold of Kane for as long as possible
Even though Mauricio Pochettino has built a great squad over the past couple of years, there is no doubt that Kane is the focal point of not only the attack but also the team. The Tottenham striker links up great with the likes of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min.
The trio has been effective this season with Son and Eriksen being brilliant even during the times when Kane was injured. And we cannot fathom losing the Englishman unless a crazy amount comes to take him away.
Kane possibly is the perfect replacement for Lewandowski but it does seem likely that he will remain at Spurs for a couple of years at least.
