According to the Daily Mirror, Norwich City have slapped a £25m price tag on starlet James Maddison. The 21-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic season with the Canaries in the Championship so far, contributing 13 goals and 7 assists from central midfield.
His brilliant displays in the midfield have attracted a lot of suitors from the Premier League. As per the Daily Mirror, Tottenham and Chelsea are leading the chase for Maddison’s signature.
The report claims that Everton and Manchester City have also watched him this season. The Daily Mirror adds that Maddison is ready to test himself in the Premier League after his dazzling displays with Norwich.
Maddison is one of the most talented players in the Championship. The Daily Mirror says Norwich are highly determined to get a substantial amount for the goalscoring midfielder, who has sparkled this season in the Championship.
But the report also claims the price tag of £25m could scare off some of the clubs even though Norwich believe it is a fair amount of money for one of their star performers.
However, the report does claim that Tottenham and Chelsea are both unfazed by Maddison’s price-tag and that the two London clubs remain keen to recruit top English talent.
