According to a report from Don Balon, Gareth Bale has decided to leave Real Madrid and return to Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season.

Bale has endured an injury-hit campaign with Real Madrid, starting just 16 games in the La Liga. He boasts of a good record, having netted 11 goals in the league this term but even after attaining full fitness, the Welshman has spent most of the time on the bench.

The Don Balon claims that Bale is eager to return to Tottenham and is also willing to change his jersey number to achieve his objective. The Welshman currently wears 11 at Real Madrid and did so when he was at Spurs as well. Currently, Erik Lamela sports No.11 at Tottenham.

The Don Balon suggest that Harry Kane is a Real Madrid target and that the English forward is closing in on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

The report claims that Tottenham are destined to lose their mercurial striker. With the club accepting that there is nothing that can be done to avoid that situation, they are ready to offer Bale the No.10 jersey.

Since arriving at Real Madrid as a world-record signing in the summer of 2013, Bale has sustained a series of injuries that has hampered his career.

Currently, the Welsh wizard does not have the physical capability and fitness to play in the Premier League should he decide to return to Tottenham in the summer. In my opinion, signing Bale is a bad move, never mind signing him as a part of Kane’s sale.
