As per a report from The Sun, Manchester United will have to cough up a sum of £40million plus Luke Shaw in order to land Danny Rose. United have been chasing the left-back for a while now.
The left-back position has been a problem area for the club since Patrice Evra’s departure and it comes as no surprise that they are targetting Rose.
Ben Davies has been absolutely exceptional for us at left-back and ever since he cemented a spot for himself in the team, Rose has seemingly been isolated from the playing XI.
His lack of form and tendency to pick up injuries have not helped either and the player will be on the lookout for an exit to secure regular game time.
A move to join the Red Devils could prove to be beneficial for him. Rose is undeniably talented and he could be the missing link for Jose Mourinho’s men.
However, his absence could cost us a little since playing with just one natural left-back is not advisable for a team looking to win major silverware.
A fee of £40million+Shaw is good enough for a player like Rose and it would work in our favour if United agreed to meet our demands.
Granted, his stint with United has not been great but he boasts of exceptional talent and was a star player for Southampton.
Furthermore, Mauricio Pochettino excels at pushing youngsters to reach their true potential and there is no reason why he cannot do the same with Shaw.
