Heung-min Son has undeniably been a prolific player for us for a long time now and he added yet another feather to his cap. According to a report published by Tottenham Hotspur’s official website, the player has successfully won the Asian Footballer of the Year award for third consecutive time, completing a hat-trick of the same.

Right from the beginning of the season until now, Son has played a crucial role for us. His influence was powerful enough to convince numerous journalists across Asia and Europe to vote for him.

Quoted by our official website, Son said:

“Winning an award is always a fantastic feeling – when I saw the trophy again it made me smile again!

“I try my best in every single training session, every week and every single game. That’s the main thing. I’m a really lucky guy because I have such good team-mates.”

The 25-year-old has made the right-wing position his own and has often delighted us with his speedy and incisive displays.

Even at a time when Harry Kane was out with an injury recently, Son did not let us feel the Englishman’s absence as he continued to smash some impressive goals.

Throughout the season so far, the nippy South Korean has contributed a total of 18 goals and 5 assists across competitions.

The attacker also boasts of creative flair, having produced 35 chances in 33 Premier League games, according to Squawka. He is truly a gem of a player and Mauricio Pochettino deserves the credit for helping him reach his potential.

Our gaffer has been lauded time and again for his efforts in developing and nurturing youth stars and Son is a prime example of the same. The player will undoubtedly be a crucial aspect of our team in the years to come.
