Tottenham finished the season in style as our lads notched up a sensational 5-4 win against Leicester City at Wembley. Although the Foxes seemed to have the upper hand for a good majority of the game, Spurs made a brilliant comeback to secure 3 points.
The scoring was opened by Jamie Vardy, which was followed by Harry Kane within the first 10 minutes of the game. Although the playing field seemed level, Riyad Mahrez put Leicester in the driver’s seat with a great shot. From there on, Leicester dominated the game and their lead was secured further with a goal from Kelechi Iheanacho.
However, a stunning goal from Erik Lamela followed and Spurs were back in the game with a bang. To further increase the pressure on Leicester, our players were looking for another goal but unfortunately for the Foxes, Christian Fuchs handed us what we wanted, via an own goal. Lamela then scored another goal and the match was nothing short of a nail-biter.
Vardy chipped in with another goal after the 70th minute but just like how the game started, Kane answered with a spectacular strike. This win ensured a third-place finish for us and our fans were overjoyed on Twitter. Here are some of the best reactions:

Before Pochettino, Tottenham last finished in the top three (third, under Venables) in 1989-90. Poch has now done it three times in a row (third, second, third). And the last #THFC manager to achieve that was Bill Nicholson (third, first, third, second) between 1960 & 1963. #COYS
