According to a report by Football.London, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Joe Pritchard is all set to exit the club this summer. The youngster’s contract comes to an end in a matter of months and he is expected to join a different club soon.
Football.London claims that he has already spent a trial session with the likes of Bolton Wanderers and Cheltenham Town. It is unsure as to which team he will join but his departure from Tottenham is quite certain.
Pritchard was regarded as one of Tottenham’s brightest prospects. At 21 years of age, he needs regular game time to develop and progress further but unfortunately, he failed to break into the first-team.
A midfielder by trade, Pritchard boasts of immense talent and potential and there is no doubt that he will work wonders at whichever club he chooses to join. However, after 14 years of life at Tottenham, it would be undoubtedly tough for Pritchard to say goodbye.
As quoted by Football.London, he put up a post on Instagram with an emotional caption that read:
“Thank you for all the incredible memories I’ve shared during 14 years at this club! I’ve met brothers I will never forget and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
The midfield sensation was a regular member of our U23 side and it is unfortunate that he has to depart in this manner. Pritchard had also served as the captain on numerous occasions and let’s hope he is able to work his magic at his new club.
Given the options, it would be better for him to join Bolton Wanderers ahead of Cheltenham Town. But ultimately, the choice will come down to Pritchard and let’s hope he makes the right decision for his future.
All the best for your future, Joe Pritchard!
