Stoke City’s relegation came across as unfortunate for the fans and club in general but for the rest of us, it has presented a brilliant opportunity to sign some of their most promising stars. Xherdan Shaqiri is one such name and as per a report from The Sun, the player has expressed a desire to join a Champions League side.
The report has claimed that he could available for a release clause of £12million since Stoke have dropped to the Championship. The Sun also claims that Tottenham are one of the interested parties.
To be able to sign a player like Shaqiri for a fee this low is certainly a bargain. Despite Stoke’s struggles, the former Inter Milan star managed to put in some decent performances over the course of the previous season.
