Tottenham are interested in Colombian midfielder William Barrios according to The Sun. Mauricio Pochettino will reportedly make a final decision on the Boca Juniors man should the player make it to the Colombia side in the World Cup and all Spurs fans are taking Danny Rose to the task.
The £65,000-a-week English defender stirred the pot a bit when he claimed that we should sign big name players and not those that need to be googled.
The defender was speaking to The Sun in August when he claimed that we need one or two top signings to make the squad better.
“I am not saying buy ten players. I’d love to see two or three — and not players you have to Google and say, ‘Who’s that?’ I mean well-known players.
“I’ve seen a couple of players previously saying, ‘We don’t need a top signing or signings’. But I am sorry, I am not singing off the same hymn-sheet on that one.
“I think we do need one or two top signings to strengthen the squad. I’m just not buying the idea that we don’t need anyone.”
The internet never forgets things and here are some of best reactions from Twitter.
