According to a report by Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur have prioritised a summer move for Manchester United superstar Anthony Martial.

The Frenchman has endured troubled times at Old Trafford ever since he arrived but it looks like he could be on the move this time. Since Alexis Sanchez’s arrival, Martial has found it tough to make room for himself in the starting XI, especially since he has to face competition from Marcus Rashford as well.

Despite being unable to play regularly, Martial managed to score 11 goals and 7 assists this term. Those are encouraging numbers and another strong suit is his versatility.

Although he favours the left-wing, Martial can play on the right-wing and can also deputise as a central striker. Thus, he will be able to offer competition to Tottenham’s current set of wingers while also acting as a backup striker to Harry Kane.

Martial would be a fantastic signing for spurs. Son and Martial bombing down the wings would be a sight to behold, and he could potentially play the CF role when Kane is injured or rested. That being said, I'm not sure the deal is worth it if Toby is the requisite makeweight.
