Tottenham might not have signed a new player in the initial days of the transfer window but we have pulled off a coup by ensuring that Mauricio Pochettino stays at the club for another five years.
The announcement was made on Twitter and it was such a beautiful sight to see. The Argentine has completely transformed the club since taking over in 2014.
📝 We are delighted to announce that Mauricio Pochettino has signed a new five-year contract with the Club, which runs until 2023.
First Team Coaching staff Jesús Pérez, Miguel D’Agostino & Toni Jimenez have also agreed new contracts. 🙌

Pochettino had led us to a fifth-place position before managing three finishes in the top-four and ensuring we have Champions League football for the upcoming season as well.
The former Espanyol man’s first-team coaching staff of Jesus Perez, Miguel D’Agostino and Toni Jimenez will also be staying at the club.
While Pochettino plans to continue his vision and project with a new stadium to boot, there were a number of reactions on Twitter and here are some of the best.

Absolutely fantastic news & the most important person at the football club already tied down this summer.
Imperative he’s now fully backed in the transfer market and given the right amount of money to go out and bring in 2-3 marquee signings to take this squad to the next level.

Best manager in the Premier League. We’re so lucky to have him. He’s given us our identity back & fully deserves proper backing now in the transfer market. He’s magic you know !
