Tottenham fans can breathe a sigh of relief as reports from Sky Sports claim that Real Madrid have ended their interest in Mauricio Pochettino.
The La Liga giants had been linked with a move for the Argentine ever since Zinedine Zidane stepped down from the manager’s post despite winning three Champions League titles in a row, the latest coming after a 3-1 win over Liverpool.
However, Guillem Balague claims that dealing with Daniel Levy was just one of the reasons why the club decided to end their interest in our Argentine manager.
“But what they had in front of them was the possibility of negotiating with Daniel Levy for perhaps a month, even longer, with no guarantees whatsoever that they were going to get him.”
This certainly is a blessing for us as now we can concentrate on building our season after the World Cup and push for a trophy or two.
Twitter also had a fair share of reactions and posts on the news of Real ending their interest in Poch and here is a selection of tweets on the same.
Step 1. Pump out an unsubstantiated rumour that Real Madrid want Poch.
Step 2. Rake in the money via @SkyBet from gullible people that think you’re reliable.
Step 3. Claim the interest (that never existed on the first place) is over.
Step. 4 Close betting. https://t.co/mPBoture0N

Media: POCH GOING TO MADRID SPURS ARE FUCKED
Chelsea: Manager miserable all season, owner banned from UK & pulls plug on stadium build with no real explanation
Media: 😶😶😶

You’ve got admire Levy’s resilience and negotiating skills he gets the best outcome for Spurs . And if he’s decided “no” there is no budging him.
