Victor Wanyama hasn’t had the greatest of seasons with us, given that he only played 18 Premier League matches and started just eight of them.
The 27-year-old has had his issues with injuries but there was one moment of magic from the former Southampton man, and that was his thunderbolt against Liverpool at Anfield.
The match might have ended 2-2 but that was an unadulterated moment of magic. The Tottenham Twitter account was also quick to remind everyone about Wanyama’s blast while wishing him on his birthday.
An unstoppable strike by the birthday boy! 🚀🔥#COYS pic.twitter.com/viuYPP6v34

There was an extra effect of a burning ball screaming through the air which was added into the video and that got a lot of the fans talking about the goal.
Of course, there were references to Liverpool fans’ hatred for us while others just marvelled at the amazing finish from a player who is usually not known for these kinds of rockets.
😂😂 this was the game that made Liverpool fans hate us even more for some unknown reason
