Tottenham could go back for Brazilian winger Malcom, according to Le10 Sport. The report claims that we will reopen contract negotiations with the player and his club Bordeaux regarding a move.
The 21-year-old had a good season with the Ligue 1 side as he scored 12 goals and provided seven assists.
The negotiations would continue from where the parties left off in January. However, the report also claims that our London rivals Chelsea are interested in the winger but they will pursue him only if they lose out on star winger Eden Hazard.
The Brazilian has been linked to the Premier League for a while and it seems likely for him to move soon. Malcom can play either on the right-wing or in a central role, meaning he would certainly provide us with various avenues to use his abilities.
Le10 also claim that we have kept tabs on the player following a reduction in his price tag, which has come down to €40m. If that is the asking price for the 21-year-old, we could be in for a steal given that he is quite young and can get better under Mauricio Pochettino.
We haven’t had great luck with some of our imports under the Argentine manager but we do have a large South American contingent and they might be able to help Malcom become a star at Spurs.
