Hugo Lloris reaches the World Cup final

France will be going to the World Cup final for the first time since 2006 and one of the main men for the side in the 1-0 win over Belgium was Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris.

The keeper was in excellent form for Les Bleus as he kept a potent Belgian attack out and one of the standout saves was from a swirling Toby Alderweireld shot that the Frenchman palmed away.

Lloris has been one of the best players in the tournament and he proved just why he deserves to be the No.1 not only for France but for Spurs too, with an incredible display between the sticks.

The French side will look to pick up the trophy for the first time after 1998 and with their captain leading the way at the back, there is little doubt they can go all the way.

It was no surprise that Tottenham decided to share a celebratory picture of our star on Twitter and many Spurs fans praised the 31-year-old Lloris for his display.
