Erik Lamela is the latest player to have his contract extended at Tottenham. The Argentine has reportedly signed a four-year deal, according to Sky Sports, to remain in London despite going through a tough phase of absence due to injury.

The 26-year-old then did score 4 goals for us last season and has had a decent start to pre-season, having scored a hat-trick in the win over Southend which was played behind closed doors.
The previous deal for the former Roma man was set to expire in 2020 but now he will remain at the club until 2022 and a number of fans were split on Twitter regarding the player signing up.
Tottenham have not made one new signing this summer and that seems to be getting to a few fans, to say the least.

No doubt he’s a player that splits opinion across the fan-base however it’s clear he is a player that Pochettino adores and that’s ultimately the most important thing.
Never doubted Lamela’s talent, our biggest hope is we get to see it on more of a frequent basis next season. 🙏

Wears his heart on the sleeve. Always plays for the badge. Good to tie him down to a new deal. #COYS
