The Burnley Express claims that Jay Rodriguez is a wanted man by many Premier League clubs, as Tottenham are also keeping tabs on the 29-year-old Englishman.
Rodriguez played for West Bromwich Albion last season and he scored seven goals in 37 Premier League games.
However, that return was not enough to keep the Baggies in the Premier League.
Burnley have had a £16m bid rejected for the 29-year-old, according to Burnley Express and the report adds that West Ham United, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are also interested in the English attacker.
Rodriguez did play for Mauricio Pochettino at Southampton between 2013 and 2014. The report further claims that West Brom want close to £18m for the attacker.
The 29-year-old can play across the attack and was often used as a striker and a midfielder on the left by West Brom last season.
The Englishman could be used well by Pochettino, given that the pair have worked earlier too. However, Tottenham have been sluggish in the transfer market and do not have a lot of time to bring new players to the club.
Pochettino also recently stated that he is not the person to explain the lack of signings at the club. Hence, if Rodriguez is to join us, we only have a couple of days left in the transfer window to make it happen.

The 29-year-old might not be the biggest name to move to our club but it would be a much-needed start to secure last-minute transfer dealings.
