Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge believes Tottenham could sell Danny Rose before the transfer window closes on 9th August.
The English left-back was replaced by Ben Davies at Tottenham in the starting XI and Rose only played 10 Premier League games for us last season.
Rose did make it to the England squad for the World Cup but Bridge claimed on the Transfer Talk podcast (h/t Daily Star) that Everton could be interested in the left-back. However, he added that there have been no offers for the 28-year-old, not even from Manchester United.
“He’s not as key to people’s thinking.
“I’ve heard a few whispers that Everton were looking at him, the interest from Manchester United has gone from my knowledge.”
Bridge also harped on the fact that if Rose gets sold, we would be left with Davies as our only senior left-back.
Tottenham’s first game of the season is against Newcastle United and it will be interesting to see how we line up, given that a number of our players have been on a break after the World Cup.
Rose might be our second choice left-back at the club but selling him now would leave us thin at the back. Should Davies pick up an injury, we would find it difficult to bring in a quality replacement.

The Englishman should just stick around at Tottenham as the season is around the corner. Hopefully, Rose can put in a few quality performances for the side and help us mount a challenge for the Premier League.
