Wilfried Zaha was linked with a move to Tottenham (h/t Football.london). The Ivorian was also linked with Chelsea but ended up staying at Crystal Palace (h/t Football.london).
The former Manchester United man scored in the season opener for Palace as they defeated Fulham.
The winger was then quoted by BBC (h/t Football.london) after the game and the Ivorian stated that he was not too concerned about his future.
“To be honest, I have just had my head down and it was not something I was involved in.
“I want to get myself better, and I don’t have time to think about the speculation.
“I am with Palace and that’s all I’m really thinking about.”
The Mirror even claimed that Palace wanted £75million for the 25-year-old and that Tottenham backed out of the deal.
Zaha was one of the best players for the Eagles last season as his nine goals helped them avoid relegation. Palace fans will be hoping for a similar return this season too as they look to remain in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old is one of the best players from outside the top-6 and he would have been a great option for us.
