Georges-Kevin N’Koudou could be set for a move to France, according to a report from Le Progres (h/t Football.london).
The 23-year-old had joined Tottenham from Marseille in 2016 but has been unable to seal a spot for himself in the Spurs squad.
The French winger did play a few games for us at the start of last season but was sent out on loan to Burnley in the winter window.
The report now claims that the 23-year-old is a target for Saint-Etienne but only if the Ligue 1 club fail to sign Remy Cabella from Marseille.
Jean-Louis Gasset, the manager of St. Etienne, wants to sign N’Koudou but the report adds that the club are looking at other targets as well. Should they fail to sign Cabella before the end of the transfer window, a move for N’Koudou could take place.
Even though the 23-year-old featured in some of our games in pre-season and even scored in our games against Barcelona and AC Milan (h/t Football.london), he was not part of the matchday squad that faced Newcastle in our Premier League opener.
The French attacker has found it hard to be part of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad and a move away would be the best solution for all parties.
N’Koudou hasn’t played a lot of football regularly and a move back to the Ligue 1 could be the ideal solution to rejuvenate his career.
