Tottenham star instructs his agents to find a new club

published :

French giants Marseille have rejected the chance to take Fernando Llorente on loan, according to France Football (h/t Football.london).

The Spaniard has struggled to find goals during his time at Tottenham and his agent had claimed that the striker would not extend his stay at the club by signing a new deal.

While Llorente hasn’t impressed enough during his time at Spurs, the report from Football.london claims that the former Swansea man has been linked with a move away from the club.

France Football claims that Marseille are looking for a new striker to lead the line but rejected the chance to sign Llorente.

The French report also adds that Llorente had asked his agent to find a club for him to play regular football but the proposed deal to Marseille wasn’t acceptable for the Ligue 1 giants.

Football.london further adds that Llorente could still end up leaving Spurs before the 31 August transfer deadline for non-Premier League clubs.

Although we have Vincent Janssen on our books, the possibility of the Dutch striker leaving is far greater than Llorente’s departure at the end of the month (h/t Football.london).

Tottenham do require some cover for Harry Kane as we have a number of competitions to play in. We should not expect our talisman to start every game of the season and having either Llorente or Janssen is necessary, given that we did not sign a new player this summer.

Both Janssen and Llorente haven’t fired in the goals for us during their time at the club and hopefully, one of them will do a good job should they remain at Spurs.
