Paris Saint-Germain will make a £100million bid for Christian Eriksen should they fail to sign Ivan Rakitic, according to the Express.
The report claims that the Ligue 1 side will switch their attention to the Dane if they cannot sign Rakitic with a £81m bid. PSG want to sign one more big player before the end of the transfer window which closes on Friday, as per the Express.
Eriksen was one of the best players for us last season and he was the only Spurs star to record double digits in goals and assists.
The former Ajax man had been on the radars of La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona too, as per the report.
Tottenham and Eriksen are currently locked in talks over a contract extension. However, talks have reached a stalemate as Eriksen wants to be on a par with the club’s highest earner Harry Kane (h/t Express).
Eriksen played in both our Premier League matches and he must prepare well for the clash against Manchester United on Monday.
Selling Eriksen so late in the window wouldn’t be the right decision for Tottenham, irrespective of how much money PSG offer.
What we should work on, however, is extending his stay at the club and pay him the big bucks.
Eriksen is one of the best in the world and he is irreplaceable in the current Spurs team.
