Mauricio Pochettino heaped praise on Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa after the 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Bielsa and Pochettino have seen their respective sides top their leagues and our manager claimed that the Leeds man and a Premier League rival were inspirational for him
Pochettino was quoted by the Daily Star as saying:
“I have only a few managers like Marcelo Bielsa and Mou who were so inspirational for me when I started my career.”
The manager added that the scoreline might have flattered us a bit in our win over United but added that he has a lot of respect for the managers named.
The report claims that Pochettino had worked with Bielsa at Newell’s Old Boys and for the Argentine national side.
The Argentine has seen Tottenham win their first three games of the season and we are tied with three other teams with nine points.
Pochettino has made Tottenham one of the best teams in the country and the start to the season is quite remarkable, given that we did not sign a player in the off-season.
Our next clash is against Watford, who are also on nine points from three games. Spurs need to keep up the momentum if we are to pick up a trophy under Pochettino this season.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes but we seem to be heading in the right direction.
