Son Heung-min has picked up gold at the Asian Games with the South Korean national side, as they beat Japan 2-1 in the final.
The South Korean side had to win to avoid military training and they played in stupendous fashion.
The Koreans ran into a 2-0 lead during extra time but Japan pulled a goal back. It did lead to some tense moments but Son’s team held on for the important win.

Son will return to Spurs as a champion and a number of Tottenham fans were ecstatic. The former Bayer Leverkusen man hasn’t featured in any of our games since the win over Newcastle United. But his return will certainly add to the quality of our side in the coming days.
Some fans were certain about their star not having to join the South Korean military and here are some reactions from Twitter.
