Tottenham face Watford in a clash that pits two of the Premier League’s early leaders. Spurs are tied on nine points with their rivals but do have a couple of injury concerns ahead of the game.
Spurs confirmed that Hugo Lloris and Moussa Sissoko are out of the clash against Watford due to injuries.
There could be a further change in our formation as well since we played four at the back in our 3-0 win over United. Spurs should revert to a three-man backline and here is the predicted line-up for the clash at Vicarage Road.
Predicted Tottenham XI
Manager: Mauricio Pochettino
Formation: 3-1-4-2
Michel Vorm (GK)
With Lloris out, we should see Vorm between the sticks. The former Swansea City man is a quality back-up and should put up a decent showing against Watford.
Davinson Sanchez (CB)
The Colombian didn’t start in our win over United but he should return to the side for the clash on Sunday.
Jan Vertonghen (CB)
Vertonghen has been brilliant since his return and should keep his spot in the team.
Toby Alderweireld (CB)
Vertonghen’s Belgian partner in defence was brilliant against United and there should be no reason to drop him.
Eric Dier (DM)
The Englishman has become a mainstay in our team and should continue playing his deep role for the side.
Ben Davies (LWB)
Davies was surprisingly not picked for the clash against United but the Welshman should return for the team on Sunday.
Dele Alli (CM)
Alli might not have scored in our win over United but he did a lot of hard work and will be an important figure for the clash at Vicarage Road.
Christian Eriksen (CM)
The Danish midfielder did have one or two bright moments against United and he must do more of the same on Sunday.
Kieran Trippier (RWB)
Trippier should play in his regular position out on the right, as we must aim to pick up all three points against the Hornets.
Lucas Moura (ST)
The Brazilian has been excellent in the previous games and could continue his goalscoring exploits on Sunday.
Harry Kane (ST)
There is no stopping Kane as the Englishman scored in the last two games. He should get on the scoresheet for this one as well.
