Tottenham’s shock loss at the hands of Watford caught some of our players by surprise. One of them was Christian Eriksen, who spoke to Spurs TV post the defeat.

We took the lead in the second half but allowed Watford to come back into the game. The Dane rightly pointed out that we didn’t take our chances and this was not good enough for a team that should challenge for the Premier League crown.
Eriksen didn’t have the best of games at Vicarage Road and the former Ajax man hinted at some complacency as he claimed that some Spurs players did not expect Watford to score.
Although Harry Kane and Dele Alli also drew blanks on Sunday, some Tottenham fans weren’t happy with the Dane’s performance.
A few believed that he should be benched while some doubted his form despite a quality season from the 26-year-old last time around.
Unpopular opinion but there’s no inbetween with Eriksens he’s either a passenger or a game changer – more so passenger in recent games – needs to be benched so he knows his place is under threat as he’s got it easy starting every game regardless of his performance

To be honest sometimes he’s bang average and the amount of challenges he bottles or pulls out of is a joke

Any idea when he’s going to turn up this season?
