Toby Alderweireld is one of the best defenders in the Premier League and it is a bit of a surprise as to why Tottenham haven’t tied the Belgian down to a new deal.
The Belgian was heavily linked (h/t Metro) with a move away from the club in the summer but we kept hold of him.
The 29-year-old has formed a great pairing with Jan Vertonghen at the back and the defender celebrated the 2-0 win over Huddersfield by posting a picture.
3 wins in a row and a clean sheet! Let’s keep going 💪🏼 #COYS pic.twitter.com/xnYmHyTKiY

Alderweireld was great in the game but so was Paulo Gazzaniga, who kept a clean sheet against the Terriers.
Tottenham didn’t sign any players in the summer window but we are in the top four despite a couple of defeats this season.
A number of fans were quick to remember that Toby hasn’t penned a new deal at Spurs and wanted the Belgian to do so quickly.
