Tottenham face an injury crisis as the Mirror reports Jan Vertonghen will not be fit for the game against Barcelona.

The Catalans will play at Wembley on Wednesday and Spurs are being stretched as Dele Alli is out of the game too.

The Belgian defender picked up the injury during the 2-0 win over Huddersfield. The centre-back was replaced at half-time and Spurs will also be without Michel Vorm and Serge Aurier. Meanwhile, Hugo Lloris, Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembele are also doubtful for the huge clash at Wembley.

Tottenham lost their opening game in the Champions League to Inter Milan and it will be crucial for us to get three points against the Catalans.

Mauricio Pochettino must produce some magic to field a strong team that’s capable of beating the La Liga champions.

However, Spurs have good form on their side as we won our last three games. Barcelona haven’t won any of their past three fixtures but they have the likes of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Philippe Coutinho on their side.

Losing against the Catalans would put us in a tough spot to make it out of the group and we need some heroic performances from the players to get the three points on Wednesday.
