Tottenham’s new stadium has taken a major step forward as the pitch is being laid out. The Daily Mail reports that rolls of turf have been brought in from the Netherlands and are being laid out on the ground.
The report adds that certain Tottenham staff have been based in the Netherlands for the last two months to ensure the pitch is in perfect condition.
The Tottenham Instagram account gave us a hint that the pitch could be installed soon via a picture.
And another account gave us a better look at some of the rolls being put in place.
The report further claims that each roll is 2.4m wide, 12m long and weighs 1.5 tonnes. Specialist equipment is required to unroll the turf and the report claims it could take four weeks for the turf to “bed in” properly.
This also keeps Tottenham on track to face Burnley on 15 December in their new home, as per the report.
Spurs have played all of their home league games at Wembley and will do the same for their Champions League group home clashes too.
Our Carabao Cup game against Watford was held at Stadium MK but things look to be progressing really well regarding our new home.
