Tottenham return to Premier League action after their 4-2 loss against Barcelona in midweek. Spurs were second best throughout the game and saw a masterclass performance from Lionel Messi.

The Catalans could have scored more than the four at Wembley while Harry Kane and Erik Lamela got the goals for the home side.

Our next clash is against Cardiff City on Saturday, which should be an easy three points for us.

Tottenham have a bit of an injury crisis at the moment with several players out. The squad will be stretched before the international break and here is our predicted line-up for the clash at the weekend.

Predicted Tottenham XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Hugo Lloris (GK)

Lloris looked a little rusty in the game against Barcelona. Our No.1 is back and should start against the Welsh side on Saturday.

Kieran Trippier (RB)

The English defender is slowly finding his World Cup form and with Serge Aurier injured, Trippier should start the game.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

Jan Vertonghen is injured and his Belgian teammate Alderweireld would be interested in keeping a clean sheet.

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

Toby would be partnered with Sanchez as we look for a win against Cardiff before the international break.

Danny Rose (LB)

Ben Davies played against Barcelona in midweek but Rose should start as the left-back on Saturday.

Eric Dier (CM)

The Englishman needs to have a good game on Saturday after coming on as a sub against Barcelona.

Harry Winks of Tottenham

Harry Winks (CM)

The youngster was a surprise starter in the Champions League clash and should keep his place for the game against Cardiff.

Son Heung-min (LAM)

Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen are doubts for the game at the weekend, hence Son should start for Tottenham on Saturday.

Erik Lamela

Erik Lamela (CAM)

The Argentine is possibly in the form of his life and we cannot drop him for the upcoming fixture.

Lucas Moura (RAM)

Moura has had a stop-start season so far but with the injuries we have, the Brazilian should keep his place in the team for Cardiff’s visit.

Harry Kane (ST)
