Hirving Lozano

Tottenham are keeping an eye on PSV Eindhoven talent Hirving Lozano, according to the Mirror. The report claims that scouts from Spurs have checked out the 23-year-old Mexican.

Lozano was one of the stars for the Mexican team in the recently held World Cup. The attacker scored one goal and assisted another as the North American side qualified from their group.

The Mexican has enjoyed a fine start to the season with five goals and an assist from seven games in the Eredivisie.

The report adds that the player is valued at £25m by the Eredivisie club. Lozano was a target for Barcelona in the summer window but decided to stay with the Dutch team, as per the report.

Mauricio Pochettino Tottenham

Tottenham have a history of signing players from the Netherlands in recent years. Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen and Vincent Janssen are some of the signings from the country.

The Mexican can play on either side of the attack and doesn’t seem to carry a crazy price-tag. The 23-year-old has the potential to get better and it will be interesting to see how we fare in our pursuit for Lozano.

Tottenham face PSV in the Champions League next and Lozano could feature against us. Spurs lost their opening two fixtures in the group but need to turn things around against the Dutch side.
