Tottenham left-back Danny Rose wants the team to continue winning ugly rather than lose playing fantastic football.

Spurs have made a great start to the season with six wins from eight game, and are just a couple of points behind the league leaders.

Rose was speaking after our 1-0 win over Cardiff City and was quoted by the Mirror as saying:

“It’s a great sign and I’d rather win ugly than lose playing brilliant football.

“Points are all that matter right now. Hopefully when we get back [after the international break] the performances will come.

“History says under this manager that October, November and December is when we’re very strong and we look forward to it when we get back and we’ll see where we are.”

Rose picked up a groin injury in our narrow win and it will be important to see how long he could be out for. The international break should give the Englishman time to recover, even though he has been selected by the national side for the upcoming matches.

Tottenham face West Ham in a London derby after the international break and Rose wanted the team to kill teams off by scoring more.

We should have scored a few more against Cardiff to make the game safe but couldn’t get that second goal.

Tottenham haven’t hit their stride yet but hopefully, we will see a more attacking team once the break is over.
