Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has provided an update on Danny Rose’s injury. The English left-back was replaced by Ben Davies in our win over Cardiff, and the boss claimed this was a reoccurrence of an earlier injury.
Rose was injured against Huddersfield and was rested in our loss to Barcelona in the Champions League. The Englishman was reinstated into the starting XI against the Bluebirds but had to be replaced.
Pochettino was speaking after the game and added that the England national team would assess the severity of Rose’s injury.
The Argentine was quoted by Football.london as saying:
“It was the same as it was after Huddersfield, a problem in his groin.
“He felt it again. We hope that nothing important but of course we need to assess.
“He needs to go to the national team and see what happened.
“He needs to check in with the national team.”
Rose has started five Premier League games for us this season and his form has been good. The 28-year-old has been called up by England for the UEFA Nations League games against Croatia and Spain.

Spurs have had a tough time regarding injuries with a number of first-team players out of action. Hopefully, the 28-year-old will not be out for a long time and return for our next clash, which is against West Ham on 20th October.
