Son Heung-min has eased concerns about his physical shape after a hectic schedule since the summer. The South Korean played in the World Cup, then helped his national side win the Gold Medal at the Asian Games.
Son hasn’t been in great form for Tottenham, since returning from the Asian Games. However, the attacker claimed he wasn’t in bad shape at all.
The 26-year-old was quoted by Football.london as saying:
“It’s always fun to play a match.
“I know lot of fans are concerned about me, but my physical condition is not that bad.”
The report from Football.london further claims that Son would not be playing in November’s friendlies, as per the deal which saw him participate in the Asian Games.
“It’s pity that I cannot play friendlies next month, because the national team matches are always fun to play.
“I really love this national team. For the next two matches, I’ll try my best to build up teamwork with my teammates.”
The South Korean has started five games for us in all competitions but hasn’t scored a goal so far. Son is one of the best attackers we have in the team and needs to fire if we are to do well.
Despite a couple of defeats in the league, we are just two points behind the trio of leaders. Should Son find his form after the international break, Tottenham could make a real challenge for the Premier League title.
