Tottenham are interested in West Bromwich Albion winger Oliver Burke, according to the Sun (h/t Express). The Scot has a goal from two Carabao Cup appearances for the Baggies this season but hasn’t made a start in the Championship.
The report adds that Tottenham and Newcastle scouts watched the 21-year-old against Blackpool last week. The 21-year-old was a rising star for Nottingham Forest and joined RB Leipzig in the 2016/17 season.
However, the youngster was brought back to the English game, with West Brom signing the player for £15m (h/t Express) at the start of last season.
Burke failed to make an impression for the Baggies as they were relegated from the Premier League. The youngster failed to score a goal for the team, and the report adds that the player will not come on the cheap.
Tottenham did not sign a single player in the summer, and it will be interesting to see how we deal with the January transfer window.
Burke hasn’t been great in the past two years but working under Mauricio Pochettino could be the right move for the youngster.
