Premium Sport (h/t Calciomercato) claims that Tottenham have found a Toby Alderweireld replacement in Joachim Andersen.

The 22-year-old Sampdoria defender has eight Serie A appearances this season and has helped the side to fifth place in the table.

The report claims that Alderweireld has been linked with moves to Barcelona and Manchester United. The Dane joined the Serie A side from FC Twente last season for a fee of €4million (h/t Calciomercato).

The report adds that Juventus and Inter Milan are interested in the 22-year-old, and the Milan club has a history of signing players from Sampdoria.

Milan Skriniar joined Inter from Sampdoria in 2017 and has become one of the best defenders in the league. The report further claims that Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero wants at least €30million for the defender.

Toby Alderweireld

Tottenham have a problem with Alderweireld as the report claims his contract is up in 2019 and could leave for free if terms are not agreed on a new deal.

The Belgian is one of the best defenders in the Premier League and losing him would be a big blow. Spurs have a great partnership between Jan Vertonghen and Alderweireld and we must look to keep the pair for as long as possible.

Andersen could be a decent option for Spurs should we sign him on the cheap. Tottenham have Davinson Sanchez as the other defender fighting for a starting spot in the heart of the defence currently and Andersen would be a good choice.
