Tottenham take on Manchester City next and we could leapfrog Pep Guardiola’s team provided we win at Wembley. The pressure is on both teams as Liverpool and Chelsea have won their respective games.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men were expected to move into their new stadium in September, but delays have resulted in us making Wembley our home for longer.
Daniel Levy recently added we would be playing at the stadium till the end of 2018, and an update on the new ground would be shared in December.
Wembley was our home last season too but we have seen NFL games being played at the ground. The Manchester City tie was shifted by a day due to the game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
JP Shadrick, a commentator for the Jaguars, shared an image of the Wembley pitch before the clash and it didn’t look all that great.

Another Twitter user added that the pitch will hold up well and that it looked better than it did in an earlier game too.
It looks better than it did when I was there for Seattle/Oakland. It will hold up really good too. Make sure you give those guys some props when you see them today for me!

This is one of the problems we face when we share a stadium, especially for another sport. Hopefully, the pitch will be in decent condition when City come to visit as Tottenham need a quality surface to play our best.
