Mauricio Pochettino will be offered double his wages should he join Real Madrid, according to the Sun. The report claims the five-year deal is worth £85m, and Pochettino will get £17m per season.
The report adds that the club is desperate for the Argentine to join and will give him complete say in their transfers.
Madrid sacked Julen Lopetegui after their hammering against Barcelona and have appointed Santi Solari as their interim manager.
Pochettino has made Tottenham one of the best clubs in England but is yet to pick up a trophy. The report adds that Florentino Perez wants to sign the Argentine as quickly as possible but concedes it will be difficult to get him mid-season.
The Argentine had recently signed a new deal at Spurs, but some fans were fearing the worst in the coming months.
At this point I won’t blame him if he leaves. The man has tries for us considering the budget he’s given to work with.

i don’t blame him , Spurs’ transfer budget is an insult to his managerial skill

It doesn’t matter how well you do at Madrid you are replaced in under three years regardless. Why go there when he can stay and take 5-8 million a year from Spurs as long as we are continuing to be sold the project………….

There is no rush for poch to take the Madrid job, that job becomes available every 2-3 years. Poch has said he will lead spurs into the new stadium and I feel he’s a man of his word.

85 ? 17 per year !
How much did they pay Zidane ? Per year or the whole contract?
This can’t be real !!

I love Poch. But you know, a different Manager might be able to get more out of the players at this stage, everything is looking a little stale to say the least. Conte or Zidane might be more drastic with the players & are better at winning stuff………………..

Been saying that for a while, a lot of fans are simply blinded and dont want to admit that Poch has come to the end of the road with us. We are stale, the players are bored rigid, we are devoid of ideas, Poch looks utterly lost. Its harsh, but its true.
