West Ham were put to the sword by Tottenham in the Carabao Cup tie in midweek. Playing at the London Stadium is never easy, however, a brace from Son Heung-min and a goal from Fernando Llorente were enough to beat Hammers.

Lucas Perez scored before Llorente’s effort, however, we were fully deserving of the win. Things don’t get easy for us in the next round as we face Arsenal, who beat Blackpool.

Winning a London derby is always special for the players, and it wasn’t a surprise as several Tottenham stars reacted to the 3-1 triumph.

Davinson Sanchez started in the heart of the defence for the Lilywhites and posted an update after the game.

One of our most impressive players from this season, Paulo Gazzaniga, kept West Ham at bay. The Argentine seemed stoked after the win and shared an image from the game.

Juan Foyth got his first start of the season for Tottenham, and the youngster was impressive in the 3-1 win over the Hammers.

Another youngster that didn’t seem out of place was Kyle Walker-Peters. The 21-year-old also got his first start of the season and impressed in the back four.

Fernando Llorente hasn’t had the greatest of times since moving from Swansea. The Spaniard has struggled for goals at the club, but he did get the third in our win over the Hammers.

Mauricio Pochettino didn’t play his strongest side as he rested a few stars. Harry Kane got a much-deserved rest, and the Englishman was pleased with our win on Wednesday.

Similarly, Toby Alderweireld was given a break from the starting XI but was enjoying the game on the telly.

The win should be a little uplifting after our loss to Manchester City in the Premier League. Our next game is against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, and it will be interesting to see how we could line-up at the weekend.
